Peltier Subaru Animal Donations
If you haven’t noticed yet, we love animals at our dealership. We’ve been working with Pets Fur People since 2013, holding an annual Dog Wash event to support this amazing no-kill animal shelter. We’ll be holding the 2023 Dog Wash on May 20, 2023, along with a Pets in the Park event on October 7, 2023.
We also love hosting the annual Angel Tree for Pets Fur People during the holidays, which includes a beautifully decorated tree with ornaments highlighting adoptable dogs and cats in our showroom and collected pet supply donations. We've also partnered with Pets Fur People to celebrate National Make a Dog's Day, donating $100 for every dog adopted that month.
Some other organizations we donate to include:
- The Cat's Meow Rescue: Foster-based cat rescue that specializes in helping cats with special needs. They were the winners of the Nonprofit Knockout in 2022 and were recipients in the end-of-year Subaru Love Encore Event.
- Longview Paws: We've sponsored and given advertising time to the Strutt Your Mutt As a Top Dog Sponsor, we’ve helped spread awareness about how to volunteer and donate to this nonprofit.
- SPCA of East Texas: This organization aims to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering and elevate their status in society.
- Therapet: This 100% donor-supported volunteer organization offers animal assisted therapy to those in need. They depend on donations from us and others for support.
- Peltier Subaru Dirty Dog Wash: Every year, we host this fun and special event where we donate $25 for every dog washed during the day.
Peltier Subaru Health, Safety & Wellbeing
Our dealership strives to give our time, money and overall support to help those who truly need it. We’ve donated our advertising time to spotlight the Treatment and Learning Center, which provides assistance to the families of children with autism. And as part of the Subaru Loves to Care program, we’ve partnered with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and donated 80 blankets, along with messages of hope to Texas Oncology Tyler.
Here are some additional causes we support:
- East Texas Food Bank: Fights hunger and feeds hope with a vision to create a hunger-free community in East Texas.
- East Texas Crisis Center: Functions as a safe haven for those impacted by family violence, dating violence, sexual assault and violent crime.
- East Texas Lighthouse for the Blind: Has been empowering the blind for almost 50 years. Originally created to serve the local community, they now create opportunities and remove barriers across the nation!
- Tyler Run for Autism: A nonprofit founded in 2012 by parents of children with autism, this event sends 100% of its donations to organizations that provide medical services to children with autism and to programs that promote community inclusion!
- Annual Nonprofit Knockout: During this local contest, in which we partner with KLTV, members of the community can nominate their favorite nonprofit to receive a special Peltier Subaru Supports Charity Spotlight on the network.
- Carter BloodCare: Provides life-saving transfusion resources to the East Texas area. We’ve highlighted this organization as part of Blood Donor Awareness month in January, as well as hosted a blood drive on our lot.
Peltier Subaru Education & Knowledge
In partnership with the Subaru brand, Peltier Subaru continues to work toward a goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible. Through the Peltier Scholarship Program, we award well-deserving students with $1,000 to put toward their education through various scholarships. We’ve also built relationships with Hiway 80 Rescue Mission and Now Faith Ministries -- two organizations that make a positive difference in the community.
