The Town Cars' 4.6-liter V8 puts out 239 hp and is mated to a standard 4-speed automatic transmission. Traction control and 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are standard, as is Ford's Personal Safety System, which includes dual-stage airbags. The Town Car comes in two levels of trim, the Signature Limited and extended Signature L, which adds six inches to the wheelbase. Both have body-on-frame construction and a reserved, formal design. They also share standard rear park assist, power heated seats, power adjustable pedals, and 17-inch wheels. In addition to those six extra inches, the Signature L adds folding front and rear arm rests and a rear seat amenities package that includes a tissue bin, cigar lighter, heated seats and controls for audio, climate, and the front passenger seat. Options for the Lincoln Town Car are limited, but whitewall tires are on the list, along with the 18-inch tires and high-intensity discharge headlights.
